A blend of four grape varieties: the magic of AOC Limoux expressed through a light red from La Martine.
Discover: the nose, the palate, the food & wine pairing, the atmosphere and the anecdote:
On the nose: the first aromas clearly reveal cherry. With a little aeration, they are complemented by black fruits such as blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry.
On the palate: the palate is remarkably fresh, with supple tannins. This juicy, fruit-forward wine offers a spectrum of red fruit flavours, enhanced by a subtle spiciness in which the estate’s garrigue herbs can be recognised. The fine acidity is particularly appealing. The finish is of medium length, lasting around 6 to 7 seconds.
Food & wine pairing: this regional wine, with excellent drinkability, is perfect for a summer tapas evening with friends or family, accompanied by ham, Spanish charcuterie or roast poultry. It also pairs well with tomato-based pasta, carbonara, and cheeses such as Saint-Marcellin. Serve slightly chilled. Its fruity and lightly spiced aromas make it an elegant and refreshing wine, reflecting the richness of the La Martine estate.
Atmosphere: the ideal bottle to open for a cosy evening at home for two after a busy day. A wine that pairs seamlessly from aperitif through to the main course, to be enjoyed throughout the evening.
Personal anecdote: this was one of the first wines through which our friends discovered La Martine. We enjoyed it with pigeon and wild mushroom pasta, then with cheese, and carried on until the early hours. Since then, our friends have become true fans—fans from the very beginning.
